Two items of business

Angry Bird pic

I'm sorry, but pictures unrelated to Nitrome are not allowed here. Try uploading it on another wiki or use a code to post the picture without it being clickable. I will have to delete the picture of an angry bird that you uploaded. Any fanart can be uploaded to the Nitrome Fan Fiction Wiki.

Also, can you teach me how to do your .gifs? They are awsome! The Toxic Cannon.gif is really good! I've made a few .gifs myself, but none as good as that.

Depends what graphics editor you have. I don't know how to do it with Paint.Net, but using GIMP and Photoshop makes it much easier. Which one do you have (photoshop doesn't have to be the latest one; CS3 will do fine, I think)? -Bluefire2 (talk) 16:35, May 1, 2012 (UTC)

Great music!

File:CC.PNG was a small picture that...well, I actually have no idea what it was meant to be, but it didn't seem appropriate for the userbox image (not inappropriate as in obscene, but as in not suitable). We can actually use all the images for the userbox; Template:Userbox/NMD has three different images that can be placed on the userbox. The user can choose by typing the name of the character after the |. Maybe that is what you'll want to do as well.

As for the music, I truly like it. I think Nitrome had three requirements for a game to qualify as Pixel Love (as mentioned on a Facebook post I can't remember), but the game had to be Flash, have pixel (not vector) graphics and be free to play. A quick way to make the videos smaller is to use the YouTube extension, ideal for embedding vids on talk pages and blog posts. It'll keep them off the Upload logs too, because the video embed tool (what you used to embed the videos on my talk page) treats the videos as pictures, and thus the tool should be used to "upload" videos that benefit the Wiki project. Don't worry yet, as it is not an official policy, but I anticipate it will be once the WIP issue is sorted out.   Random-storykeeper 08:24, October 18, 2012 (UTC)

I suppose you took a peek at my profile page then, Frosty. :) Well, I don't really know. (By the way, I am literally going to answer your question, even if it was not meant to be answered.) I think I discovered Nitrome a long time ago, but I don't remember when. So I suppose I had a lot of time to complete their games. But most of all, it was the perserverance. I would never give up, even when I had died for about 1000 times. So, yeah. It wasn't easy, but it was possible. And that there is a lesson of moral for you Frosty! Never give up, and anything can be accomplished! :) Possunt quia posse videntur!

Hi Future Frosty! (I just can't get over that!) Ayernam here. I just want to say that you did not creep me out in the chat. I understand that you were hacking in the spirit of scientific curiousity. :P Although I do not completely agree that hacking is right, I would never just leave the chat without telling you why. It was really nice of you to leave that message, though. That shows you are a good person.  :) However, the reason I "left" was because my smartphone closed the chat window when it opened the video link you posted. The second time was because my browser crashed. In other words, Smartphone + Wiki Chat = Disaster!

In other news, it's so cool that you like Vsauce too! I haven't gotten around to watching all of his videos, as I just discovered him about a month ago, but the one you showed me is pretty cool. I also love the game ChatChat that you showed us yesterday. Anyway, hope there are no hurt feelings. See ya future person!

That Template

I made it around a year ago. It's on most wikis and it's usually called Contents. It shows the main categories of the wiki, as you can see. What do you mean about how I made the template? Making the template requires you to go into source mode, it is impossible to do outside source mode. Now, I will give you the blank template of the start of the template (this is what it looks like in source mode):

That is what you place at the top of the template. Each cell of the template (I've purposely re-added stuff to guide you) looks like the below (in source mode):

Now, where it says <name of category> in the above example is where you put the category you want to link to. In the template, every part it says <name of category> is where you place the link to your desired category. <file name> is where you put the file name of what you want to be displayed under the box that contains the name of the category. For example, if I wanted to use , what I would put down is Hot.PNG . This is because in source mode, the prefix File:, and the [[ and ]] are already there. Thus, in the <file name> section, you would put down the file's name (Hot in this example) and the files extension (.PNG in this example).

Now, in the <file resiszing, eg: 100px> section is where you would put down the number of px you want to resize the image. Unfortunately, you can't use the Wikia Rich Editor (regular visual editor) to resize the picture - you have to do it manually. Different images act differently to what number you put down that is followed by px. Try any number to resize an image, numbers usually under 100 will resize it considerably. If you find that an image is too small, try putting in big numbers.

Example:

gets you:

[[File:FR32.png|240px]]

gets you:

A good tip to remember is that many images reduce to their regular size if you apply 100px to them. Also, some small images require large numbers to be increased in size, or very small number to decrease in size.

Where it reads <name of background colur> is where you put down the name of the background colour. You can access a full list of colours here.

When you've come to the end of the section, and what to put cells below, you have to make the last cell of the upper section with this code:

You probably know what to put in for those sections, as the parameters have already been gone over. Now, below this cell you can put more of the regular sized cells. Whenever you want to put cells underneath the current line you are on, simply use the above template and fill it in like a usual cell. When you have put in enough cells and are done, simply put down the above template, but without the |- and everything after that, but with something new. It should look like the below (I've added the regular parameters):

Hi Frosty! Good Eye, Aye! XD Great job on your mutant chewing gum/teeny hero creature! I feel like that should be a whole other game on its own: the mutant chewing gum who one day gets up and starts j-j-jumping around, trying to stick onto bad guys! XD

Oh, and yes, I did know about the Pixar Wiki, but I feel their WALL-E page (and all of the other Pixar movies they've covered) are very well written and don't need any more assistance. Besides, I just love watching the movie! However, I did enjoy reading their lengthy articles on each movie, and I even learned some new trivia and saw some trailer images that I hadn't seen before! (I especially love all of the old advertisements, like this one and this one.) :P See ya!

No, I don't program in C. I am currently in a computer programming course, and we are learning code through Visual Basic. Next year is Java. Visual Basic is kind of similar to C and C++, with some slight variations. My friend programs in C++, and he is really good at it. You're programming a game? Awesome! And no, I'm not in college. My friend is just really smart when it comes to coding. I'm not sure when he started, but I'm pretty sure it was early. I could try to help you with the game if you want, although I don't know if I would understand it. On the MSDN (Microsoft Developer Network) website, Microsoft gives "translations" of code from Visual Basic to other programming languages, including C and C++. For example, this page has the code for a simple method in the Math Class, Math.Abs (Double), which returns the absolute value of a decimal number. If you click on the different tabs, it gives translations between different languages! Yeah, I think I know what you're talking about. There is a way to display the current time depending on the timezone you have selected in your preferences, using {{LOCALTIME}}. That would result in this:

As for an actual ticking clock, I think that would require JavaScript. On the w3schools site, they give an example of a working clock. Then that expired (after forcing myself to capture everything in the Flightless .swf - 95% of everything in the .swf is unused), my sister downloaded the decompiler, I began using her computer (I still am, but I only have 2 days left), and then after that, I'll try to download it on to another laptop/computer. Me and TinyCastleGuy Are Sorry, Frosty...

It happened yesterday when I came to chat as I always do. FrostyFlyTrap was already in the chat room, and he asked me if I were waiting for TinyCastleGuy. I replied yes, and I also said that I noticed he was there and I liek talking to him too. Honestly. His replies can be slow sometimes, but I think that's because he wants to answer in the best way possible. From there, everything was fine. Later on, TCG did come, and then we had a conversation together; it was great. A while after that, TCG said he needed to get off, and even after that, I tried staying in chat. It constantly froze, and soon, Frosty left. Now here's where the problem starts. Though TCG said he needed to get off, he was able to come baki. I was overjoyed. We talked some more, and when Frosty came baki because he saw us, I could feel rage in the words he sent (even though this isn't skype). He furiously typed (I remember this as best as I can) 'YOU GUYS SERIOUSLY WAITED ME OUT?! Is THAT how much you hate me?!' TCG and I were having too much fun at the moment to see that he was mad, but he soon left afterward.

All in all Frosty, I'm sorry, and I'm sure TCG is too. We don't hate you, and read the whole thing: we didn't wait you out! I have great memory, and I remember this predicament happening like this. This is a misunderstanding.

Hopefully, you'll come baki to chat after reading this... Please don't be mad...

Template Fan art

Hello! Thanks for creating Template:FanArt, however, the template needs to be edited a bit more as it is missing some content. Also, some of the language used in the template (choice of words) could be improved. So until then, I would advise against using the template until the community has decided on changes to make to it. Anyways...this template is actually a very good idea and it's going to save a lot of time from having to send the same message again and again to different users. With a few tweaks (and I think we can remove the notice box altogether - or extend the width) and maybe changing the image to an alert sign, this would be a useful template. Subscript and superscript tags seem to be working in chat for me. Did you try out the other codes to see if they work? If they don't, it's probably a JS issue. Semi transparency

Hey, I'm back. Now I've got another question regarding semi transparency. Turns out that everytime I pixel outlines for my sprites (in case the borders are black) I use an anti-aliasing method to smooth the edges of the image. I need to know if semi-transparency can also be added to single pixels, as when a sprite is put on a coloured background the grey anti-aliasing method doesn't work. I'm going to show you an example of what I mean here. [2]

For white backgrounds grey outline works well, while for coloured backgrounds pixels seem to be noise in the image. What I want to do here is to apply the grey anti-aliasing system but smoothing it using transparency, for the sprite's outline to fuse with coloured backgrounds acquiring an accurate look. WIP permission

Receiving permission means you *actually* have to get approval from Emite on the wiki before editing the page he put the WIP on. While I understand it's frustrating to see your added content removed, it was within the rules of having a WIP, and you did violate them. However, I hope Emite will be able to assume good faith in this case and perhaps work your text into his planned edits for the article. Okay I'm steamed down now and don't want to start making enemies just because I got all angry at some little thing.

• As I now look at the page history again, I realize that was mistaken, you made five edits, all of them just on the History section. NOBODY only made one, and it was just removing the category you added (which, I don't know why you added if it was a WIP page). I was under the impression (for whatever reason) that you and NOBODY made many edits in the page.
• When you say "removing your spoiler history", I don't know what you are talking about because I never touched the spoiler template you had on there. In fact, I didn't even read what was inside because I haven't finished the game yet. But judging by this edit, it looks like I may have accidentally hit the backspace key over that template when writing and not even realized, because I thought the spoiler was still there :P. Sorry about that, I'll just copy and paste it back.
• Lastly, I'm not quite sure what you mean when you say that "The word 'doppelganger' is a spoiler". The definition of doppelganger is "an apparition or double of a living person", which is exactly what the mirror version of the girl appears as throughout the game (remember, I haven't even finished the game so how could I be alluding to a spoiler?).

I don't want to get into an edit war or anything, and I don't want us to be mad at each other, so I'm sorry that I made such a harsh remark about disrespecting the template. I was over-reacting. Video template change

I like it (I only chose green because that was the previous template's colour scheme, and green imo is the "easy on the eyes" colour.), but the only issue is that the background and "show" link blends. I don't know how to change the link colours to "show/hide" in the mw-collapsible class, but I was told it's possible. I don't know whether or not you marked the page for Ditto as in need of revision (your "contributions" page seems to suggest as much), but personal dislike of the way a page is written does not necessitate revision. Now, if there are factual or grammatical errors, or the diction used can't be understood by the average user, then there is legitimate need for revising the page. However, there is nothing wrong with using an objective and professional tone--many, in fact, would deem it preferable to do so. The reason for this is the fact that, as we are just fans and users, and not the creators of the games, our personal interpretations of the games and their cutscenes really aren't very reliable. We really can't do much more than describe what we see as it is, and, should we include our opinions, we must indicate that they are just that--opinions. Because of this, an effective description will tend to sound stiff. However, so does any decent page on Wikipedia, scholarly review of a book or set of instructions. If you feel that some words need to be changed for the sake of making it more understandable, that is one thing. Actually, I did NOT take the template down. I thought that was you (seriously, was there anything on my "contributions" page showing that I had editied anything other than the "talk" page for the article around the time the template was removed?). Anyways, if you really think that the article needs revision, why don't you just go ahead and tell me more specifically what needs to be changed so that I can do it right now rather than wait for you to do it later? It saves you the trouble, and any problems with the page would be resolved sooner.

Ditto edits

I noticed how you said that you added the Revise template to Ditto as a reminder to work on it, and how you later got upset over Loonyhed commenting on it and then upset over its removal. One thing I would like to point out is that you never said the template was just meant as a reminder, and you acted as though everyone knew.

The situation was none of us knew this. If you had said something in the edit summary, some of us would have known, but you didn't, and left us all to interpret for ourselves what the addition of the template meant. Also, I would like to highlight that templates that are addressing the problems a page has and saying that the very readers can help by editing the page, templates like these should definitely not be used for little reminders, as they are asking the very readers that this page has a problem and saying that it would be helpful if they could fix it.

In fact, if you want to remind yourself to do something, there are methods of doing so; no mainspace Wiki templates should be used to serve just as a reminder, especially if these templates are saying that any user can help by fixing the problem. If you want a system to remind you to do something, my global.js page has a possible solution.

I found I kept forgetting to do stuff on the Nitrome Wiki, or stuff connected to the Nitrome Wiki, so I used the scrolling fanart image notification box in my global.js and modified it to display content I wanted to remember. This box scrolls at the bottom right side of every Wikia page I'm on, so if I need to remember something, I simply look at the scrolling box.

In the blank section reading <!-- add text here -->, you can add text you want to remember. Once you add it to you global.js and clear your cache, a small notification box will appear at the bottom-right side of the screen. You can add content to it, so that if you need to remind yourself to edit some sort of page, it's already visible. It supports links as well.

Superseded images

If you're just making minor modifications to the image, consider uploading a new version of the file by clicking on the small arrow to the right of the word "Edit" and clicking "Replace". Then choose your file and upload it. I was inspired to start this project because there are so many pages on the wiki that have the canon name for the character but they are left check markless. I also do not know the coding for that blue check mark, and it must be really confusing for a user to see a page that has a check mark and they know it's a canon name, but for the next one, it's a canon name, but it doesn't have the check mark to signify that the name is canon. So as I said before, I'm glad that you liek my idea, and I hope you join the project (can someone make a Project: Check-Mark Userbox? That would be awesume!!!!)

Enemies

One integral feature of enemies is that they can be killed. If they can't be killed, they aren't an enemy. One defining trait of hazards is that they cannot be killed. Although the typical hazard cannot move, there are still lots of hazards that can move. Movement doesn't disqualify a hazard from being a hazard, destructibility does. That is not true. A number of enemies cannot be killed in games, like Jack Frost or Off the Rails. An enemy usually displays lifelike qualities, such as the presence of a face or legs. Typically all enemies can be perceived as hazards since interacting with them almost always causes harm to the protag so if you're ultimately unsure, it's best to keep them under Hazards. Mostly the distinguishing line between an enemy and hazard depends on which game you're talking about.   Random-storykeeper 18:24, May 17, 2014 (UTC)

The video you created was interesting; I would have just thought that you would have fallen out of the boundaries of the game (like the Mega Mash level 18 glitch). One thing I would like to advise you about is that videos uploaded to the Nitrome Wiki have to be used on either a mainspace article, otherwise it will have to be deleted.

Oops, I guess I didn't make myself clear. Safety mode disables me from viewing your channel, not your videos. Everytime I go to your channel, it reads "This channel can't be viewed because safety mode is on." So ya quit?

So you quit just beacuse of dat? This time i only said i noticed something from you, i didn't want to talk about this topic for like 5 min, all i wanted to say is that i noticed something from you, some different but similar topics may come in da future just for minor stuff, just beacuse we say were never gonna talk about doesn't mean it's true, you need to know that things might repeat, and instead of running away, you need to answer it, and then life can become better. And one last thing, WE AREN'T ALLIES, WE AREN'T HELPERS, WE AREN'T TEAM MATES, we are dishwashing friends. Don't get mad at everything, my torture is worse then yours, if i can't be tought then i can die sooner (and no you don't teach me) running is a bad option and i swear mods and admins always do this instead of giving an answer, and this is why i hate em, but that doesn't mean i hate you, you just need to go near a lake or river and stay there for sometime and calm yourself, i'm sure it will get better. Quiting is a bad idea if you quit only for one person for one minor thing ya know. Some pepole todays aren't really good pepole, everyone isn't, and this is why i hate it. I can tell you why he quit. Yesterday in chat, we were talking a bit, and then after frosty mentoined Ib, i said that it's getting annoying how you talk about Ib all the time, so then he took it as me being rude and said that he might kick me, and then after a while when we he said that he has a felling of predicting me going negative or something we got in peace. Now today in the morning for my timezone when i came in chat i said something like: I noticed something from you, you take as saying like 'i hate user' as being rude, then he just got mad and said that he thought that it was over about the talk yesterday (even if it has nothing to do with the topic) and said that he might aswell quit the wiki for me, and now he is basicly gone, i didn't ever want to do something bad or for him to quit for me. Frosty i can't belive how you rage about 1 small thing, i act how i am, and i am myself, you can't just ban someone just beacuse he is different, this wiki isn't *cough* mature *cough* only, what do you think that you must act like this or you are gone? 1: Using all caps implies you are yelling, and of course I don't think anyone wants to be yelled at. I see how you are trying to kindly ask Frosty to answer your questions, however, yelling at him will likely cause him to not want to reply.

Download APK, then rename the file to replace .apk with .zip , then right click and select in the menu "Extract all". Decompiled. Also works for iOS apps, but you have to convert the .pngs to view them. Regarding the .swfs, there isn't any way I know of to decompile them, unless you try to load an older version of the .swf bu modifying the ver=# (where # is a number) on the .swf's link (you can do it with the "Inspect Elements" tool in Firefox, maybe Chrome), though in most cases this doesn't work. --Talk to NOBODY   15:23, March 18, 2015 (UTC)

From Random-storykeeper: these files are here not because they are Nitrome related, but because they are in use on the wiki. Files are uploaded based on whether they are used appropriately on the wiki and NOT solely if they are Nitrome related.

Looks like I've made an oopsie. :P But to be fair, the policy was added well over three years ago, when fanart was still allowed to be uploaded to the wiki. In order to make the wiki less of an image dump, we took off the non-Nitrome related images. Over the years, things have changed, and we learn from our mistakes. I'd say it's updated, and I've been meaning to clean up the policy and MoS for a while now. Your Blog Post Inspired Me

Hello there, Frostyflytrap! Upon reading your blog post, “what a lovely day...”, I just felt I wanted to say something to you that would be wasted posted in the comment section. So my thoughts are written down below, even though they could be perhaps a little too emotional or creepy. This message will likely be long so you might need some time to read it and I hope that I do not give the impression of conceitedly using purple prose.

That was very dark and expressive poetry you had in your blog post. Sometimes I feel like only poetry can express clearly my thoughts, but at the same time, it might give the faulty conclusions of a conceited mind. It is entirely impossible to avoid people's misunderstandings by any action that sometimes it appears that staying silent is the only answer, but that breeds misunderstandings as well.

I have no idea what happened or even if you are still upset, but I have a feeling I wanted to say something, even if it might be a wrong interpretation of your meanings. What a person deserves and doesn't is hard to tell as what they have earned is only truly there's, but it raises the question of whether or not being a human being, speaking technically, means they have they have earned the right to certain things. Yet at the same time, to be denied certain rights raises the question of if they have earned the denial of a right.

You wrote "Once you know who I am inside, I don't even look human anymore...". To me that seems very true for sometimes humans do inhuman things that could make one wonder if humanity is not just a more sophisticated animal, clothed in facades, hiding bestial habits. Though at the same time, not everything people do is animalistic and there are some genuinely kind people who truly care for others despite their brutality, unkindness, and other harmful faults. In some ways I almost feel that humanity is both the purest and evilest creature, deserving life because of their goodness and death because of their evil, but good and bad are found in them both.

Of course, I don't ever feel so consumed by this to ever wish for the death of all humanity because I know humanity is evil as it says in Genesis 8:21 “...for the intention of man's heart is evil from his youth...” (I'm only bringing this up because of the truth of the statement, not its religious significance, and I am no way trying to convert you). I think your statement connected with me because I could understand, and sometimes I rarely feel, the sentiments. Sometimes I feel like everyone sees me as this bubbly, optimistic, kind person but that they would be horrified and shocked if the ever saw that I could be the opposite, that I could ever entertain nonchalantly morbid thoughts. (Don't take this statement to seriously as even I am somewhat unsure about this).

You further wrote “...this is why I don't have any friends, nor should I even have any friends at all...”. I can see this is building from the opening to imply that the inhumanity of the individual, as I am unsure whether you meant this to directly apply to you, disqualifies them from the care of others. Perhaps this might sound strange, but I generally view friends as a luxury as, after all, one does not need friends necessarily for physical survival (emotionally is another matter).

As a person with few friends, the sentiment of being disqualified due to inhumanity is one I never really thought of, but rather on a deeper level and towards broader persons than just friends. I'm not sure if any reason merits friends since some become friends by simply being together, others because they feel a closeness, some because they are the opposite, and still more reasons. Because of this, a person lacking friends doesn't really indicate they are bad but it could imply they just missed out on the times to make friends.

You ended your post with “...filth... sayonara humans...”. I can see from the building done in the previous lines, “filth” was probably the individual remarking on their internal/mental condition and “sayonara humans” was a further indication that they accepted their inhumanity and were possibly distancing themselves from whom they believed to be “human”. Overall, in those six simple lines, you painted a picture of a person being swallowed up by their belief in their inhumanity, drawing away in inferiority which was at first shown as being aware of an inner hideousness, progressing to being believed which manifested as they shouldn't have others who care for them, to an inner reflection that cemented the belief, to finally a drawing away. However, that was only what I gleaned from it.

Now what do I say to your poetry? Quite simply, I find it a masterpiece. I've read allot of poetry, published and unpublished, and what this succeeds at, and all poetry should succeed at, is being expressive. Of course, if this is how you feel, I feel sorry for you but, at the same time, I don't know what happened so I'm not sure what to address. I will say this, however, that I believe that no matter how hideous a person is inside, there is still some good in them and that every person deserves a friend.

Several things have shown me the you appear to have a very philosophical mind and do take time to examine people's words. My apologies for the length of this message and if I seemed unsettling or sharing too much.

Hello, Frosty-kun! (If you don't like -kun I could use -san or -chan if you want). Anyway, to deal with what's first on my mind, you can archive your talk page by creating User:Frostyflytrap/Archive 1, copying the total messages you want to archive, pasting it into the page, adding a link at the top back to your talk page, and then finally linking to it on your actual talkpage (use my page as an example). Hey, I could be an admin >:) (I just realized that if you read that emoticon backwards, it looks like a frowning man with a uni-brow).

Just to improve consistency, I am more or less responding chronologically to what you have written but with some paragraphs referring to the same subject but not joined together. I might also jump around a bit in paragraphs but I don't think it will be to hard to figure out.

In various films and other works, humanity's inhumanity (which sounds like an oxymoron) seems to be a recurring theme, although from what I've seen, not many works delve deeper to explain it. That's an interesting theory and I can see it seems to draw from microevolution (as I am fairly certain you don't mean the changes need to be significant); however, unlike microevolution which helps cope with environmental changes, I think some of humanities basic problems are mental, as you said with the negative bias, with any physical advancements not helping the problem. Sometimes the negative bias seems altogether strange since it makes sense that one should be focusing on the happier things, but then it makes sense when the unpleasant things seem to be so forceful, that the pleasant things are forgotten.

As for what you wrote as "...why we can have brutal intentions...", I believe by your use of "brutal" you did see what I was trying to say. Originally when I wrote, somewhat verbatim, "entertaining nonchalantly morbid thoughts", I first wrote "dark, in a sadistic sense, thoughts". I was afraid by my use of "sadistic" you would jump to the conclusion I was a sadist or, to be more specific, an algophile (algos mean pain and philia means love (though apparently algolagnia is being used instead with lagnia meaning lust)), when really either conclusion would be an overstatement since I don't even think pain is the issue at heart. I'm sorry if this seems to be creepy.

Five stages of grief, interesting. This actually reminds me of Ecclesiastes since a repeating theme within the book, and taken from chapter 2 verse 24, is "There is nothing better for a person than that he should eat and drink and find enjoyment in his toil..." (once again I'm bringing this up because of the truth of the statement, not the religious significance). I believe I may have gone somewhat through the stages of grief but maybe skipped a few. When I took a break from that friend I mentioned earlier (the one who sent that cheap shot gif to me), the days just seemed to be lacking fulfillment, boring, even pointless. But when I tried doing more things, eventually the days got better and I realized I could live without her. Other times I have gotten depressed but it didn't last long because I remembered the Lord, how he still cared for me, and how nothing could stand against him (I'm sharing this because that is what happened, not because of the hidden motive of converting you, which is impossible for me).

Ahh, if there is one word I would use to phrase how that paragraph below the stages of grief showed you, it would be unstoppable. You wrote "The barbaric way of thinking hasn't faded out yet until we would ever learn to treat the weak like we treat ourselves...and I'm not just talking about humans." Forgive me for referencing the Bible so much, I can't convert you nor will I try so don't see it that way, but that sentence reminded me allot of how the purpose of humans intended at the beginning of the world. To summarize, human beings are told in Genesis to be caretakers of the earth, working the ground and being watchful over the animals. In remembering that, I fully agree with what you said since every living thing, whether person, animal, or plant, is important and unless we learn how to treat the lower things decently, how could we ever learn to treat the higher things decently?

Similarly, one could say that the manifestation of treat living things correctly would manifest itself in treating lower life correctly. Having said that, it reminds me of how some individuals have gone to the extreme treating animals on the same level as people in the wrong circumstances. One individual gave the example of it being a moral dilemma on whether to save a drowning fox or a drowning child, completely forgetting that the child has the potential to help foxes and possibly save more than the one “sacrificed” for it survival while the fox gives nothing back to humanity besides the potential of more foxes. I suppose extremes are truly dangerous.

Hmm, “... not being able to understand me because of my use of deep words and long sentences that are unfamiliar to them”. I think I know what you mean by this since nowadays people want everything short and some just seem to take things a face value becoming easily confused by longer sentence that actually do make sense. Then there is the whole “skimming” thing and a “fear of large paragraphs”. That actually reminds me of when I stood in a messy room, I sized up the mess and realized it was smaller than it appeared at just a glance; similarly, with paragraphs, they are just small sentences pushed all together that will not cause the individual to overload. Ironically, I write in longer-than-most paragraphs but these are actually heavily condensed and sometimes I end up turning a response to a small paragraph into a larger one (self-example given already XD).

Generally, when writing to a person, I always come across the problem of using either a specific word or a common word and I generally opt for a common word that can be easily understood. But at the same time, there is nothing wrong with using a big word since we have a dictionary at our fingertips. Another problem you appear to be pointing out, and I have encountered as well, is that it seems people don't think to deeply (but then this wiki's community is filled with people concerned about friendship, what they did this week, ect.). I am fully aware of this that I don't really expect people to see any of my deeper reasons for doing certain things (if they are there) and it makes me so happy when they actually do notice something (although then I have this conversation with myself how I don't really need confirmation for something I know I have but then I do somewhat need confirmation).

That's an interesting dilemma. Irregardless of whether you tell or not, the truth will stay the truth and also if people hate you for telling them the truth, then you will have to believe in your convictions that you did the right thing because that will be all that will, and should, matter.

It seems you may be stepping into a fallacy here: If you simply state your beliefs, you are not forcing anyone to believe it for they are only seeing what your beliefs are, leaving what they do with it up to themselves. No one can force another human being to believe anything. People may try, they may reason, present evidence, maybe even down trod the others beliefs, but the only thing they can force is for the person to act a certain way. This is the same way with Christianity: Christians can't force people to realize their sin, or believe in God, nor convert anyone by their power; only God is capable of changing people's hearts (and this is why I keep saying I can't convert you).

The truth is a funny thing: Even if a person is so opposed to it, eventually they will believe it because there is not other way. Now, as a word of advice, you don't need to tell people about the truth of a harsher reality, which I suspect maybe something related to their importance, if you don't want to. You are not obligated to tell of it unless you feel that it may help others who are in dire need of it. If you feel convicted, then, by all means, go ahead; if not, then wait till you feel ready but do not feel bad about this.
