Hello people, this is SQhi. As we know at the start of July anonymous editing was blocked on Nitrome Wiki network. The purpose of this discussion is to bring the active and prominent users together to inform our readers and followers of this drastic change.
I am sending this message to NOBODY, Santi, Ayernam, Emite, Takeshi and NTPYTO. If you feel that anyone else should be brought into the discussion, please let me know (talk page).
The first three steps I am proposing are as follows.
1. Through Wikinews. I suggest this entry.
- 21 July - It is now necessary to have a Nitrome Wiki account to edit and comment on Nitrome Wiki and its sister wikis. This is due to changes in US law which does not allow our website to track IP addresses of children. If you would like to gain access to editing, commenting and more, please sign up for an account. You do need to be thirteen or older. official press release
2. Through banner on our Main Page (and/or through SiteNotice)
Dear readers, you now need to sign up for a Wikia account to edit and comment on Nitrome Wiki and its sister wikis. Changes to US law in which our website is hosted prevents us from tracking anonymous contributions from children using IP addresses. IP addresses can be used to approximate the location of internet access of children. official press release

Nitrome Wiki congratulates Nitrome on their official launch of Nitrome Profiles.
- Since 1 July 2013, it is now necessary for all editors and blog commenters on Nitrome Wiki and its sister wikis(Fan Fiction Wiki and Pixel Love Wiki) to have a valid Wikia account.
- This is because of changes in US legislation which prohibits US-hosted websites from collecting certain information from children including IP addresses. Nitrome Wiki is hosted on US servers.
- Unfortunately, IP addresses is the means through which our software MediaWiki tracks anonymous contributions, hence, anonymous contributions are disabled.
Revision to COPPA
A recent revision to Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) (http://www.ftc.gov/os/fedreg/2013/01/130117coppa.pdf) which came into effect 1 July 2013 does not allows US-based websites from collection of geolocation information from children, such as Internet Protocol addresses (IP). Nitrome Wiki is hosted on a US server and hence has to comply with US laws.
MediaWiki's use of IP
MediaWiki tracks all anonymous contributions through the IP which they are posted from. IP is the internet addresses of your gateway to the Internet. This is an important tool for us as it helps us better identify users, and provides us the means to tackle disruptive acts such spamming, vandalism and uncivil behaviour.
IP of registered users are also recorded, though as such users can be easily identified by their username, this IP information is strictly archived. This information will only be accessed by the webmaster only for the investigation of the most severe of disciplinary offences such as sockpuppetry or vote-rigging, which can be carried out through the abuse of multiple accounts.
Risk of tracking through IP
IP is also a form of geolocation information. Through tools such as whatismyIP, an individual can find out the geographical location of a child's internet access point, and hence approximate the location of the child in the world. The safety of the child can be further jeopardised if the child reveals personal information.
Blocking of anonymous editing
If we were to allow collection of IP information, our webmaster would have to receive parental consent, which would be impractical to do so. We apologise for the inconvenience caused to all, especially to our young readers who are most affected.
Nitrome Wiki recommends that contributors sign up for an account as long as they are no longer children
Since there are no restrictions prohibiting the collection of IP from anyone aged 13 and above, anyone above the age of 13 can sign up for an account for free. You only need an email address and your birthday (to verify your age). Your generous contributions will be fully credited to you on the edit history of each page, ascribed to your member-name. You will also gain access to all the privileges of a member, such as the chatroom, your own profile and talk page, ability to create blogs and upload photos and more.

There is Revise 4. Alternitively, there are a lot of other things to help with, if you don't want to help with Icebreaker. One of them is writing articles on Icebreaker: A Viking Voyage. You don't have to have the game to write about it, just look at the walkthroughs that have that specific object in it and write about the object based off what you see in the walkthroughs.
Some of the characters from Test Subject Arena 2 need sections for their behaviour in the game. You can finish off the article on Earth if you want, or if you're interested, I can send you links to beta versions of Nitrome games and you can write about those. This techinque works with images that are oploaded on this wiki. If you are using the image link of an image that is not uploaded on this wiki ( http://images.wikia.com/nitromefanfiction/images/7/7e/CreeperEnzyme.png for example) it won't work because the source is http://images.wikia.com/nitromefanfiction/images/7/7e/CreeperEnzyme.png and not [[File:CreeperEnzyme.png]]... - Yeah, the only problem is that using Gimp takes a long time. The even quicker and easier way to do it is using the Imagemap Edit js code. It's on my JavaScript page, although I'm not sure which code is the one. Anyway, it places an imagemap edit link on every image page. - Oh darbut, sorry for being late. Well, that's really all you have to do. If you want, I can give additional tips on making one. Or maybe I'd rather tell you now. Once you've followed all of Aye's instructions, go to the page of the image you want to imagemap(the page that starts with 'File:'). Now, wait for the page to load for a while because this doesn't appear as soon as the entire page loads. Click on the link that says "ImageMapEdit >". After that you'll see an entire area just for making imagemaps.
Create new area There are 3 options to choose from. rect(angle), circle, and poly(gon). If you click on one of these, you can make the choose the area of where the link should be. For the rectangle, you start drawing the area by left-clicking and ending it with right-click. Circle uses the same method but right-click adjusts the radius. Polygon has no end shape since there is no need of it. For more accurate positions, you can adjust it in the Edit Area section. Edit area In edit area, you can contol the area attributes with numbers for precise placing. This is the most important area since this is where the destination links can be added(Link target). To have a custom name while the mouse hovers the area, you can put it in "Lnk title". You can also delete a certain area by clicking the obvoius button. General preferences When the poiner does not hover on any link, you can give a description of the image to appear instead. You can even arrange the information link's location. Import areas from wikicode Here, you can insert a pre-made set of coordinates for your image. Generated wikicode This is the output of all of the things you've done. This is important when you finish making your imagemap.
- Tips: You might want to change the image's size. You can paste a size like '260px' right after where it says "File:imagenamehere.png|".
- Another tip is DO NOT intersect two or more areas together or wikia will be forced to move the area to another place which could give you disapointing results.

Final Ninja bug[edit source]
I reverted this edit for multiple reasons, however, I exhausted all the space in the summary, so I'd thought I would send you a message instead. The reason level skipping doesn't record levels after pressing N is because you haven't obtained the key card, as the key card determines that you have completed a level; the N button simply takes you to the start of the next level, it doesn't allow you to complete them.
Also, the ending isn't considered a level, so that's why you come to a never ending loading screen. In any situation you would eventually come to an never ending loading screen if you progressed far enough, as when you progress to the next level, it tries to load the next level, however, if no next level exists, then it tries to load something it doesn't have, thus, you get stuck at a never ending loading screen.
Nitrome could have bypassed this never ending loading screen by inputting error messages, however, this wouldn't have made sense, considering how the N button was likely only meant for testing the game. Also, I'm not sure whether glitches relating to debug tools, whether they should be added to the page (the glitches), as tools such as this were never meant to be public. However, considering how it is rather rare to find a debug tool, I guess it would be okay.
Also, just in case you're confused on what a "debug tool" is, a debug tool is a tool that is part of a debug mode. A debug mode is a sort of mode or feature in a game that contains a large amount of cheats or easy methods of modifying a game. Developers put debug modes in games in order to find bugs and test things. Debug modes are never meant to be public, or even publicly accessible, however, most video games allow you access a debug mode if you input some sort of button combination somewhere in the game, while other games just have the debug mode in the game only it's only accessible through hacking. --Talk to NOBODY 23:46, December 27, 2013 (UTC)

- Changing your username can be done by sending a request via Special:Contact/rename-account. This can only be done once though, so choose carefully if you must. Your username isn't as long as NTPYTO's was, so I'm not sure why you would want to shorten it. (Also make sure no one else has taken the username you want.) Hi, NTPYTO! It's just happened to me again that my Nitrome game saves were lost, as some random searchbar site got installed in my Google Chrome and accidentaly I chose the option to reset all my Chrome's default data.
Well, the point is.. I recall one time where you said on a blog comment that there was a way to make Nitrome think you've beaten more than you actually have. I remember you said you need to search for the .sol files in the computer and then edit something... what do I actually have to do to retrieve my lost data? It was a response to what TMU was saying about Minecraft Witches and how they have a potion for nearly every situation you put them in. I'm sorry if you thought that it was directed at you and it made you feel a certain way.Your remark was much appreciated.
And speaking of your remark "Just wanted to pop in for a moment and say Extreme Carter reminds me of AC a little," you might be getting that vibe because of this little known fact. All of my characters represent something (or multiple) traits from me.
