Flightless[edit source]

Hello! I noticed how you have added to the Flightless page that it will be released after Bad Ice-Cream 3, and on the Bad Ice-Cream 3 page that Flightless would be the next released game. I reverted these edits because Nitrome has not stated anywhere that Flightless will be the next released game. What made you think that Flightless would be the next released game?--Talk to NOBODY  Eskimo 1.png 01:56, January 10, 2014 (UTC)

Fanart[edit source]

Hello! On the Nitrome Wiki, fanart cannot be uploaded here. Instead, you can upload it to the Nitrome Fan Fiction Wiki and embed it here by following the steps on this page. Also, fanart shouldn't be included on regular Nitrome Wiki article. I just thought I would notify you, as I'm not sure if anyone explained this to you in the chat. --Talk to NOBODY  Eskimo 1.png 13:36, April 26, 2014 (UTC)

You are temporary banned from a chat due to bad behaviour. Actually, you have acted bad these weeks, so you can't access to chat for two weeks. This is only way to teach you, what happens, wheen you annoy everyone in chat and break rules "Welcome to Phantomobia" (talk) 17:02, April 30, 2014 (UTC)

Updating[edit source]

Hello! Thank you for updating all those pages when Flue was released. No one else updates that many pages when a game is released. By doing this, you also kept the pages up to date. Thank you! --Talk to NOBODY  Eskimo 1.png 14:56, May 16, 2014 (UTC)

Thanks![edit source]

Nitrome Jam in Games template[edit source]

Template:Games/Mainlist is specifically for "main" games that Nitrome has released. The Nitrome Jam is an event, not a game (even if some of the games were done by the current staff of Nitrome). It's not possible to play the Nitrome Jam, so it cannot be added to the section. Mind you, the link has been added to the title of Template:Jam/Games, though I guess I could recolour Nitrome Jam so that it stands out as a link rather than title text.  Talk Random-storykeeper Contributions 17:09, June 15, 2014 (UTC)

I believe Tema.gubert was adding it to the page because on the front page of Nitrome.com it is classified as a new game, and even has its own 50x50 icon. --Talk to NOBODY  Eskimo 1.png 19:47, June 15, 2014 (UTC)
I suggest adding a fifth section to the Games template called Jam Games and it would contain the seven made by Nitrome. It would fill up if there are more jams in the years to come. Pufflesrcute (talk) 20:53, June 15, 2014 (UTC)
Yes, but it's not classified as a "game". It doesn't appear in the "All Games" page (Icebreaker AVV is an exception since it is found on the Mobile page, titled "Mobile Games Developed by Nitrome"). Arguably, the Jam could be considered a game, but I think that gives off the wrong impression. It's an event, a gathering of developers. That's not the same as a game of Ice Beak or whatever Nitrome released in the past.
I also feel that jam entries should be kept separate, away from the main games template. None of them were made by Nitrome as a whole, but in parts, along with some other team members who haven't worked for Nitrome before. I suggest not making the Games template more complicated than it already is, and keep that fine line between Nitrome games and Jam games on the wiki.  Talk Random-storykeeper Contributions 05:25, June 16, 2014 (UTC)
Well if you think about it, all games have not been worked on by Nitrome as a whole. The credits usually credit a couple of people. Pufflesrcute (talk) 06:36, June 16, 2014 (UTC)
I know that but the games are credited as being done by Nitrome as a whole. So the games are technically done by Nitrome. These Jam games are not done by Nitrome. They even include people who aren't part of the regular Nitrome staff.  Talk Random-storykeeper Contributions 15:25, June 16, 2014 (UTC)

Battle of the Week[edit source]

Sorry for raining on your parade again, but only the user in charge of Battle of the Week is allowed to add or remove items from the list. If you'd like to make a suggestion to modify someone's battle, contact the person who came up with the battle idea, or leave a note in the comments with your request. That being said, Fat Cat is not an example of a game where the characters are indirectly controlled. The player uses the mouse and keyboard to move the owl and cat where they want at free will. Indirect control has more to do with manipulating the environment to get the character to go where you want it to go, rather than being in full grasp of the character's every movement.  Talk Random-storykeeper Contributions 05:30, June 16, 2014 (UTC)

Balloon Maker Startup[edit source]

Hey Tema, I found the Hot Air 2 trailer on Nitrome's old YouTube channel, and discovered that it had the Balloon Maker startup at the beginning of the video! Was wondering if you had the time to create the GIF (might be a bit blurry, since it is a video). Link to trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jnsn4wpJ1gs Pufflesrcute (talk) 23:08, July 1, 2014 (UTC)

More startups[edit source]

Hey Tema, thanks for doing the Balloon Maker startup. Well, I have a few more startups for you to do:

  • Bad Ice-cream 2 & 3 - They Bad Ice-cream 1 startup is recycled. This would be fine, except for the 2010 copyright notice at the bottom. It should be 2012 and 2013 respectively.
  • Final Ninja - The GIF is too small.
  • Cosmic Cannon - Same as the Bad Ice-creams... I mean Cheese dreams. It recycles Cheese Dream's. Again, this would be fine, if not for the 2008 copyright notice. It should be 2009.
  • Skywire VIP: Classic, Extended and Shuffle. They all recycle Skywire's. Would be fine, except for the 2007 copyright notice. It should be 2010, 2012 and 2012. However, since Extended and Shuffle were released in 2012, you only have to use one.
  • Frost Bite 2 - I think you understand why. (Copyright notice)

So, it would be appreciated if you could finish these startups. You don't have to if you don't want to. Pufflesrcute (talk) 01:55, July 3, 2014 (UTC)

Startup gifs[edit source]

Thanks for uploading the GIFs. How do you make them so small in size? Even with the 325 pixel width, mine end up being almost a megabyte.

Speaking of which, it would probably be best to upload all GIFs to 325 pixels in width, since the JavaScript that makes GIFs move when resized doesn't always work, last I checked (at least not with lots of GIFs on the page). Also it would be better to capture GIFs from the distributable games module since it won't show the login/logout banner, or at least log out before capturing the GIFs.  Talk Random-storykeeper Contributions 17:15, July 3, 2014 (UTC)

Release date for Bump Battle Royale[edit source]

Hi! I know you are very excited for Bump Battle Royale. However, in the latest blog post for it Nitrome says "We are in the final testing stages. So this game should be knocking on your browser window soon.". "soon" does not specify whether the game will be released this coming week or the next week, it may even be released in August. Until Nitrome provides a release date or the week the game will be released, or something like "the game will definitely be released in August", a release date cannot be added to the Bump Battle Royale page. --Talk to NOBODY  Eskimo 1.png 18:27, July 20, 2014 (UTC)

You did see the WIP template, right?[edit source]

Hello there, Tema.gubert! The Psy Cop game you edited had a WIP, Work In Progress, template on it and you should have told me you wanted to edit it before you did. Though I am not too upset that you edited, as I did need one of those images, please ask me before you edit the Psy Cop page. If you are unfamiliar with the WIP Template rules, you may want to consider visiting this article.

Have a nice day!

Removing WIP[edit source]

Just to let you know, if Bump Battle Royale does get released tomorrow/today, your WIP template will be replaced with a {{noWIP}}, which means no adding WIPs for three days. That being said, the WIP policy does state that admins are allowed to edit mainspace pages, even ones that have WIPs on them. I edited Bump Battle Royale to fix:

  • Release date - The parameter explicitly reads "released", yet we're adding a future date. I'm adding a new parameter called "projectedrelease" which allows users to add Nitrome's "projected" or expected release for the game, since using "Released" to add a date range makes no sense and comes across as trying to predict the future.

For cases like Bump Battle Royale, we only know that Nitrome expects the game to be released "next week", but that doesn't guarantee that the game will be released next week. Setbacks can happen, and have happened. It's not a release date until the game is physically up on Nitrome.com. Last I checked, it is not. So please do not fill in the "released" parameter until the game is actually live.  Talk Random-storykeeper Contributions 06:55, August 1, 2014 (UTC)

Stages[edit source]

Stages of Bump Battle Royale will have their own page. Even though stages in the game have the same name as the game's they come from, pages for each stage will be created. A list of links for stage pages are listed here. --Talk to NOBODY  Eskimo 1.png 16:23, August 2, 2014 (UTC)

*Ahem*[edit source]

I'm still waiting for an honest apology for stealing my blog post. According to your blog post, you said you hate your life; consider yourself lucky! NOBODY stuck up for you and no one ever sticks up for my sorry rectangular butt nowadays. I'm deteriorating day by day into a cranky loner (I yell at people if they don't hear me the first time around). Nearly all of my friends from last year have abandoned me, so I had to befriend some freshmen (and they're awesome). Needless to say, my life sucks more than yours. You're even a better editor than me! So all I ask is for an apology.

PS: Just get to the point. Don't link me to something or try to change the subject.

I'm Losing my Patience With You...[edit source]

And that's hard for me to do since unliek my fave Nitrome character, I have an extremely patient disposition.

Do you even READ your message wall?

All I want is an apology from you because I know you didn't mean to use my blog post. But seeing what edits you make on this wiki (and what you say), you can CLEARLY write and type in English fluently. You just wanted to be lazy about expressing your feelings so you mooched off of my blog post and get defended for it because 'English wasn't your first language'. I DON'T BELIEVE THAT. You fooled everyone else, but you can't fool me. You're just like Taco from Inanimate Insanity. You make yourself look innocent when really, you're plotting to do something for your own selfish means. Give up the act and just type that one word on my message wall. In fact, if it's too hard for you, I'll type it down here so that you can continue with your silly charade:

Sorry :(

I myself, do not put up any kind of charade when I get down to business. I have nothing to hide. In fact, here's an IRL Picture of me:

I'm waiting, and I won't stop messaging you until you appologize. The moral? MAKE YOUR OWN BLOG POST NEXT TIME! You can CLEARLY express your feelings better when you don't mooch off of people like me! Capish?

Your Friend that is Losing Her Patience, AC4E

You could have removed the WIP template[edit source]

Hello there, Tema.gubert! I noticed that you edited the article Interactive objects (Coil) and also there was a WIP template on the page. Now the WIP template had been up for over a week and you did nothing wrong by editing it. What I just wanted to tell you is that if you see a WIP template on an article and it has been up for over a week, you can remove the WIP template and continue editing.

Have a nice day!

Template:UnderConstruction[edit source]

Hi! I noticed how you created Template:UnderConstruction. Unfortunately, the template seems to fulfill the same purpose as Template:UpcomingGame - telling the reader the game has not yet been released and the information on the page will be changed when the game is released. What were you trying to do with Template:UnderConstruction that would make it different from Template:UpcomingGame? --Talk to NOBODY  Eskimo 1.png 22:34, September 30, 2014 (UTC)

It looks like a public Template:WIP to me.  Talk Random-storykeeper Contributions 00:43, October 1, 2014 (UTC)

Just a little note[edit source]

Hello there, Tema.gubert! Thank you very much for adding the stakes article and those pictures. I noticed that, inside the infobox template, for the ability of the stake you said "Shoots enemies and stuff". Now I am not upset that what you wrote is slightly vague because you did take the time to add something to the article; what I just wanted to say is that when adding information to the template it would be better if, instead of saying stuff, you specify what kind of stuff it does as it help the reader find information much more quickly.

I just wanted to tell you this as a tip and not a command that you should be doing more work.

Have a nice day!

Adding release dates[edit source]

Hi Tema.gubert! I noticed recently how you have been adding release dates for several upcoming games, even though these release dates have not been announced by Nitrome or any Nitrome employee. I kindly ask that when adding release dates to pages, that you only add them if the release date that you are adding has been confirmed by Nitrome.

By "confirmed by Nitrome", I mean that Nitrome or a Nitrome employee has said the game will be release on that day. Please do not add any release dates that are just guesses. If you add a release date for a game and this release date has been announced by a Nitrome employee, you should link to where you got this information so I (and other users who read the page) will know where you got it from.

If you have any questions, feel free to leave a message on my talk page. --Talk to NOBODY  Eskimo 1.png 16:28, October 13, 2014 (UTC)

Courtesy reminder[edit source]

As per Project:WIP, please do not edit a page with another user's WIP on it. I know it's been over a week, but the page is a bit of a mess, and I wish not to leave a partial edit while I redo the format.  Talk Random-storykeeper Contributions 14:56, October 23, 2014 (UTC)

Nitrome Touchy controls[edit source]

The next time a Touchy compatible game is released, could you upload the controls to the game page rather than Nitrome Touchy/Controls. It's probably much easier for a visitor to search the controls by indexing the game page. I'll keep the controls to a more generalised version of how each game runs, hopefully, so there will be no need to update two pages at once. (some pages have Touchy sections on their game page and Touchy/Controls)  Talk Random-storykeeper Contributions 15:35, October 23, 2014 (UTC)

Second warning[edit source]

Ambox warning pn.png Warning!

The page called Nitrome Touchy/Controls which you have made an edit on has a WIP template on it. This is your second warning. Please leave a message on User:Random-storykeeper's talk page if you wish to edit the page again.  Talk Random-storykeeper Contributions 16:20, October 24, 2014 (UTC)

Yeah Tema I don't really know how else to put this, but you're not supposed to edit a page with another user's WIP on it, especially since the user is still editing the page. Not just that, but the fact that it is intentional that the sections are being removed. If you want to contribute to the Touchy galleries, do it on their game pages, not on the controls page. The controls page might be deleted in the future, or maybe merged with Nitrome Touchy if it is too short.  Talk Random-storykeeper Contributions 16:20, October 24, 2014 (UTC)

Third warning[edit source]

Ambox warning pn.png Warning!

The page called Nitrome Touchy/Controls which you have made an edit on has a WIP template on it. This is your third warning. Please leave a message on User:Random-storykeeper's talk page if you wish to edit the page again.  Talk Random-storykeeper Contributions 08:21, October 25, 2014 (UTC)

I left an explanation of what I plan to do with the Controls page on its talk page. If you disagree with it, you may leave a reply there or provide one in your summaries. I am pretty busy at the moment and haven't been getting through the page as fast as I would like to, but I hope to restructure it so that the page talks more about the controls than listing the specific controls, which is impractical and difficult to update. Since a WIP is on it, a message must be left on my talk page if you wish to make edits to it while I am actively editing it. Removing the WIP template to make your edits and re-adding it also violates the policy in a, might I say, "cheating" sort of way. In other words, those edits you made abuse the WIP system and its intentions.  Talk Random-storykeeper Contributions 08:21, October 25, 2014 (UTC)

Avatar genre[edit source]

Avatars are not a game genre and are instead a certain part of Nitrome accounts. While they do act like a game in that you have to collect them and they are hidden around the Nitrome website and in games (like a point and click game), avatars are connected to Nitrome accounts and a different from the regular Nitrome games.--Talk to NOBODY  Eskimo 1.png 22:00, October 28, 2014 (UTC)

Unreleased avatars[edit source]

Please do not upload unreleased avatars until their hint is live. Since I didn't make myself clear last time this happened, the next user to do this will be blocked.  Talk Random-storykeeper Contributions 21:34, October 29, 2014 (UTC)

Incorrect information[edit source]

Please only add a release date if it has been confirmed by Nitrome. By confirmed, I mean that Nitrome or someone who works at Nitrome has said when the game will be released or the time period when the game will be released. Please do not guess when the game is released or post a release date that has not been confirmed by Nitrome. Because you have still continued even after I sent the previous message, if you add a fake release date again I will have to ban you. --Talk to NOBODY  Eskimo 1.png 16:06, November 4, 2014 (UTC)
