Power-Ups are pickups in Leap Day and Super Leap Day.

Acquisition[edit | edit source]

In Leap Day power-ups can be won from the Fruity Bonus minigame, available exclusively in the Casino World theme, by matching three items in the minigame. They can also be acquired by watching a video advertisement at a power-up block.

In Super Leap Day all power-ups can be initially acquired in levels save for the Wings, Sword and Shield, and Midas Touch power-ups, which first have to be bought before they start appearing. Power-ups can be found in treasure chests, obtained from power-up containers, and are rarely dropped when yellow breakable blocks are destroyed. The following enemies can drop power-ups when killed: spike shells, fire skulls, and birds. Mimics may drop a power-up when initially attacked disguised as a treasure chest and again when killed.

Interactive objects[edit | edit source]

Power-up blocks[edit | edit source]

Power-up blocks are blocks that appear in Leap Day at certain points in a level. They appear as a grey block with a propeller on top and an image of a video camera hanging from below. The block goes through the image of various power-ups. These blocks allow the player to gain a random power-up through watching a video advertisement and can be interacted with by jumping against them from below. They can also be stood on.

Power-up containers[edit | edit source]

A power-up container.

Power-up containers are a type of interactive object that appear in Super Leap Day. These objects appear as a glass container that has a blade inside, a lid that has a button on top, and a yellow base that specifies the amount of fruit required. Power-up containers give a contestant a power-up for a designated amount of fruit when interacted with. These objects are very rare.

Yolk pet[edit | edit source]

Yolk pets[1] appear in Leap Day and Super Leap Day. This character appears as a circular Yolk looking creature who floats. In Leap Day, while this power-up is active, it eats all fruits (while also doubling them) and kills destructible enemies in its vicinity. When there is no fruit, it will follow the player a few blocks away. It will not spin the top of its head completely when doing this unless it needs to fly. Yellow yolk pets flee when the player is damaged while green will flee after the player dies three times.

In Super Leap Day, some enemies, like mimics, are stunned by them instead of being killed. Yolk pets can also pick up gold and silver coins and keys.

Tornado pets[edit | edit source]

Tornado pets are encountered in Leap Day and Super Leap Day and appear as a mini tornado with eyes. In both games, while this power-up is active, it will cover spikes with snow. This effect works infinitely in Leap Day, meaning if the snow is removed, the tornado will add snow to that spot again. In Leap Day white tornadoes have one life while brown have three.

Rainbow star[edit | edit source]

The rainbow star power-up appears in Leap Day and Super Leap Day and appears as a rainbow star with eyes. This power-up while active makes the player invincible for a short period. It also turns player rainbow colored and leaves behind a rainbow color. Fire skulls in Super Leap Day may drop this power-up when killed.

Rocket[edit | edit source]

The rocket power-up is encountered in Leap Day and appears as a Yolk-shaped grey rocket. When used, the player is sealed inside a rocket and it blasts the player to the next level collecting all fruits the player passes.

Magnet[edit | edit source]

The magnet power-up is encountered in Leap Day and appears as a general videogame magnet. When activated, the magnet attracts nearby fruits for a short period of time.

Chef follower[edit | edit source]

A mini flying radish with eyes that floats. Green radishes have one life while dark green have three. Whenever the player reaches a checkpoint, the radish gives 6 fruits.

Cloud[edit | edit source]

A cloud in bottom. This powerup creates a cloud every time the player double jumps. The clouds can be used as platforms. When a cloud is placed right above an enemy, lightning will strike it, killing it in the process. Clouds disappear after seven seconds. The gray version of this powerup has one life while the white version has two.

Bouncing ball weapon[edit | edit source]

Jumping creates a bouncy ball that kills any killable enemy it hits, collects fruit, and pushes indestructible enemies. The yellow version of this powerup has one life while the orange version has three.

Helicopter rotor[edit | edit source]

The helicopter rotor power-up appears in Leap Day and gives the player infinite jumps.

Rainbow hourglass[edit | edit source]

Makes the player invincible for a period of time shorter than the rainbow star. In addition to that, picking up fruits or killing enemies while having the Rainbow Hourglass active, will reset the hourglass timer, therefore, increasing the time of usage.

Invincibility rotating star[edit | edit source]

A star with eyes rotates around the player. Activated by jumping twice and lasts seven seconds. There is a glitch with this powerup where the player will turn white and have infinite invincibility.

Rainbow bouncing bubble[edit | edit source]

After the player activates the ability they are given a bubble tail. Every time the player double jumps, they get trapped inside a bubble, that will bounce diagonally off walls and kill enemies. While this powerup is active, the player can neither be harmed by Spikes, spiked slam blocks, Enemies nor other hazards. However, the player can still be crushed to death by slam blocks. The bubble disappears after a while.

All pets power up[edit | edit source]

After the player activates the ability it will spawn chef pet tornado pet and yolk helper that have 1 health.
