Template Spoilerpage is now used.

One problem with wikis is (depending on the wiki) that they reveal content that spoils a part of a game/movie/book/video-game for you when you access the page. When's even more annoying is when they reveal something about something from a game/movie/book/video-game that spoils the type of media for you.

That's why spoiler templates were made. Now, what about pages the deal completely about an object that appears in the ending of a game? Blue Ball, Rex209, they all are about content that appears in the end of a game.

Now here's what I think we should do: we should create a page titled Spoiler/(game name goes here), and that page has a template that says that the page they are about to go consists mostly of content that is revealed in the ending of a game. For example, for Twang, we have a page on Blue Ball.

On the twang template, we would have a link titled "Spoiler page", that when clicked takes the player to the page Spoiler/Twang page (no redirect needed to take the player to the page), that would have the template saying the page they are about to access contains content revealed in the end of a game, and if they want to proceed click the link "Continue to page".

The link "Continue to page" takes the player to the Blue Ball page. However, instead of having the name just "Blue Ball", all pages that fall into the category of consisting completely of end-of-game content would have the prefix Spoiler:, thus, Blue Ball would become Spoiler:Blue Ball. We would, however, still be able to add categories.

My proposal allows for users to freely browse templates, or the entire nitrome wiki, without stumbling on any content that spoils the ending of a game for them. This is my proposal, discuss away!--Talk to NOBODY  Eskimo 1.png 01:17, June 26, 2012 (UTC)

Hmm...sounds a bit too...complex. There is a JS code on the Dev Wiki that does something similar. Or you could just make a warning template for a page that is mostly about spoilers and put it on top of pages like Blue Ball's.  Talk Random-storykeeper Contributions 01:32, June 26, 2012 (UTC)
