purge

Description

This template is used on template pages to mark any templates, particularly notices and navboxes, that have been superseded or should be removed entirely. It should replace the entire template code.

Templates marked with this template will be transcluded in Category:Pages with obsolete templates.

Parameters

Parameter	Description
name	Name of the template (ie. without the "Template:" namespace)
replace	What the template should be replaced with (leave blank if it should just be removed with no replacement).

Sample output

{{obsolete template|name=Obsolete template}} gives...

Obsolete template This {{Obsolete template}} template is obsolete and should be removed from all pages. When no other pages link to this template, it can be marked for deletion.

{{obsolete template|name=Obsolete template|replace={{t|navbox}}}} gives...

Obsolete template This {{Obsolete template}} template is obsolete and should be removed from all pages and replaced with the folllowing: {{navbox}}. When no other pages link to this template, it can be marked for deletion.
