A template for making keyboard keys, typically for PCs.

Usage[edit source]

Here are some examples of usage of this template. Letters must always be in upper-case, and special keys must be as shown:

  • {{kbd|A}}: A key.png
  • {{kbd|Space}}: Space.png
  • {{kbd|Enter}}: Enter.png
  • {{kbd|Esc}}: ESC key.png
  • {{kbd|Ctrl}}: CTRL key.png
  • {{kbd|+}}: Plus key.png
  • {{kbd|up}}: Up.png
  • {{kbd|down}}: Down.png
  • {{kbd|left}}: Left.png
  • {{kbd|right}}: Right.png
  • {{kbd|arrows}}: Up.png Left.png Down.png Right.png
  • {{kbd|WASD}}: W key.png A key.png S key.png D key.png

etc.

When using "=" you must put <nowiki> tags around it.

For input walkthroughs, you can also add |input=# to produce a small text after the key saying how many times you are supposed to push it:

  • {{kbd|up|input=6}}: Up.png x6
