Slimes are enemy hazards in Flue.

Crawling red slimes[edit | edit source]

Crawling red slimes always move one square forward whenever the player does, moving in the opposite direction if its path is blocked by another hazard or a panel residue ball. Crawling red slimes are red in color. The only facial feature visible is their mouth, which contains several white pointed teeth.

The slimes are immune to fire blasts, as they are still alive after being engulfed in the blast. Since the main character is a virus, it is possible that the red slimes are 'antibodies'.

Spiked red slimes[edit | edit source]

Spiked red slimes are oval-shaped and red like their crawling counterparts, with one distinct difference: spiked red slimes have a white spike on top of their head that they will impale the player with. Spiked red slimes do not move over panels but instead, whenever the counter resets, the slime jumps to the opposite side of the tunnel.

If the virus is on the tile it jumps to, the virus will die instantly on contact. Spiked red slimes will not jump to the opposite side when the counter resets if a panel residue ball is on the tile they were going to jump to. Spiked red slimes are also immune to fire blasts.

Fire[edit | edit source]

Fire is a hazard in Flue. It comes from the direction the player is headed, going back towards the virus. It appears as three parallel beams of red flame with several bubble-like structures around it. Fire will only appear when the counter has gone down. Fire sometimes blasts down one wall of the tunnel, but sometimes it may go down two walls. Fire will kill the virus instantly on contact.

Spike panels[edit | edit source]

Spike panels look like regular orange panels, except that their centre is black with a gray dot in the middle. Spike panels can be regularly walked on, but when the counter reaches zero, the gray dots will protrude, revealing a gray-white triangular spike that will kill the virus on contact if it is standing on the panel when the spike protrudes. Spike panels are usually found in groups.
