Gameplay[edit | edit source]

The player controls Gunbrick, which can only rotate 90° left or right. In each level, the player has to navigate from the start pad to the end pad. The Gunbrick has a gun on one side, which the player can use to shoot bullets which are able to defeat enemies, destroy blocks and activate switches. On the other side of the Gunbrick there's a shield that the player can use to protect itself from enemy attacks and hazardous elements.

Interactive objects[edit | edit source]

Enemies[edit | edit source]

  • Red circles - Enemies which have the ability to move around vertically or horizontally and can be killed by Gunbrick's bullets. They cannot damage Gunbrick if it is protected by its shield side.

Hazards[edit | edit source]

Development[edit | edit source]

Gunbrick was being worked on around April 1st, 2012[3] and was released on April 20th[4]. The game was an experimental project for Nitrome and the 50x50 pixel restriction (the dimensions of the icons of Nitrome's website) put limitations on the gameplay elements in the game[4].
