Games in the puzzle genre are often combined with other game genres, seemingly those of the platform variety. Likewise with platform games, players are usually given a simple task they must complete with the manipulation of the game's environment around them, although some puzzle games can be seen as a more "laid back" type of game, where the player is not given any time limit they must fix themselves to, allowing plenty of time to strategize and attempt new ideas.
