Canary Scouts

Canary Scouts are characters in Shovel Knight Dig. Two different Canary Scouts are encountered: a yellow Canary Scout and a beige Canary Scout.

Appearance

Canary Scouts appear as a canary wearing a brown hat with goggles and a strap around their neck and a striped shirt. Different Canary Scouts have different coloured equipment.

• Yellow Canary Scout is yellow and wears a purple shirt.
• Beige Canary Scout is beige and wears a brown shirt.

Game information

Yellow and beige Canary Scouts can appear walking through the campsite. Yellow Canary Scout can appear around the campfire in the campsite and can also be encountered in a side room in The Well, where she can give Shovel Knight an Health Upgrade or Magic Upgrade when talked to. Canary Scouts will make tiny hops from side to side when talked to.

Yellow Canary Scout appears in the normal ending on the Surface near the hole leading into The Well. When the ground shakes, she appears surprised and then approaches the hole and looks inside. When she sees Shovel Knight and Shield Knight on the Rocket Drill, she appears surprised and is then thrown off screen as the Rocket Drill rockets up into the sky. She does not appear among the other characters on the Dig Results screen.

She also appears during the "A New Chef in Town" segment where she is waiting in line for Spore Knight's shop.
